I’m John Walton, a wildlife and landscape photographer based in Northumberland. I’m drawn to wildlife, changing light and quieter landscapes across the North East and beyond. My photography leans towards natural colour, atmospheric light and darker, quieter backgrounds. I prefer images that feel understated and true to the scene rather than heavily saturated or over-processed. I currently shoot with a Nikon Z8, mainly photographing wildlife and landscapes across Northumberland and the wider UK. I’m always looking for strong light, behaviour and compositions that give the subject room to breathe.
